PIF and Formula E have launched a global education programme aimed at introducing more than 50,000 young people to STEM, sustainability and future mobility across the United States, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.
Driving Force Presented by PIF will target students aged eight to 18 through a combination of interactive workshops, hands-on learning and digital resources, with a focus on providing young people with opportunities to explore careers in motorsport, sustainable technology and mobility.
Alejandro Agag, Founder and Chairman of Formula E, Extreme H and E1, said: “Since introducing the PIF E360 partnership last year, Formula E and PIF continue to look for opportunities to make a positive, real-world impact.
“Driving Force Presented by PIF is an example of how PIF is not only elevating motorsports but also inspiring the next generation of talent through STEM education which plays a crucial role in inspiring future motorsport talent in sustainable mobility and green technology.”
The programme made its US debut at Keys Gate Charter School in South Florida ahead of the Miami E-Prix, with up to 90 students taking part in a hands-on workshop.
Its expansion will see in-person workshops delivered across the US, Saudi Arabia and UK, supported by an online learning programme designed to extend its reach beyond the classroom.
The initiative is expected to engage more than 50,000 students worldwide by the end of 2025, representing its largest expansion since the programme was first launched in June last year.
Driving Force also forms part of PIF’s wider E360 partnership, which brings together three electric racing championships: Formula E, Extreme H and E1 electric powerboat racing.
Through E360, PIF is seeking to use electric motorsport as a platform to support technological development and encourage the next generation of engineers, innovators and sustainability leaders.
Mohammed AlSayyad, Head of Corporate Brand at PIF, said: “PIF is committed to supercharging the growth and transformation of electric motorsport and through our partnership with E360, we are collaborating with our partners to accelerate progress, maximise impact, and deliver powerful unified programmes.
“For the first time, we are bringing together Formula E, Extreme H and E1 to expand the Driving Force programme and drive transformative impact by empowering youth who are the innovators of tomorrow.”
The launch also marks the beginning of Supercharged, a PIF campaign focused on innovation and global progress through the E360 partnership.
Driving Force is intended to use the growing technology behind electric motorsport as a pathway into STEM education, while giving students greater exposure to potential careers in motorsport and sustainability.
With workshops planned across three countries alongside its digital resources, the programme will seek to turn the innovation taking place across Formula E, Extreme H and E1 into opportunities for the next generation.
