Jaguar TCS Racing Crowned Formula E Teams’ World Champions

Jaguar TCS Racing ended the GEN3 era on top after securing the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E Teams’ World Championship in a dramatic season finale at ExCeL London.

The British team entered the final race locked in a battle with Porsche for the title, but a combination of Mitch Evans’ fourth-place finish and a carefully managed team strategy proved enough to deliver Jaguar its second Formula E Teams’ crown.

The title came down to the final race after António Félix da Costa’s podium finish on Saturday helped Jaguar leave Round 16 with a five-point advantage over Porsche.

With everything still at stake on Sunday, Jaguar faced the difficult task of balancing Evans’ Drivers’ Championship hopes with the wider fight for the Teams’ title.

Evans remained mathematically capable of becoming World Champion and pushed through the field as the race unfolded, eventually taking fourth place.

But Jaguar’s strategy extended beyond Evans.

Da Costa played an important role in the team’s championship effort, sacrificing his own race prospects as Jaguar looked to limit the points available to Porsche and championship leader Pascal Wehrlein.

The strategy ultimately paid off.

Evans’ fourth-place finish provided the points Jaguar needed to remain ahead of Porsche and secure the Teams’ World Championship, bringing the title back to the British manufacturer.

The achievement also provided a fitting conclusion to Evans’ long association with Jaguar in Formula E.

The New Zealander has been part of Jaguar’s Formula E programme since the manufacturer entered the championship in 2016, developing into one of the series’ most successful drivers during his time with the team.

His final race in Jaguar colours therefore ended with another piece of silverware for the partnership.

Jaguar’s success also completed an intriguing split of Formula E’s major championships.

Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein secured the Drivers’ World Championship, while Porsche had already wrapped up the Manufacturers’ crown. Jaguar, however, emerged from the final weekend with the Teams’ World Championship.

The result brought the curtain down on the GEN3 era and Formula E’s time at ExCeL London with a British team on top of the Teams’ standings.

With Formula E moving to GEN4 next season and its British round relocating to Brands Hatch, Jaguar will enter the championship’s next era as the reigning Teams’ World Champion.
