Speedway events follow a tight, rapid-fire format. Riders take part in a series of heats, each featuring four riders over four laps. Points are awarded based on finishing positions, with the top scorers progressing to the semi-finals and eventually the final. With a 90-second rule in place for riders to reach the start line after their heat is called, the action keeps coming with very little downtime.
